Tell developers what you want to buy
Your Buying card says what you’re after and your budget, so developers can pitch you their games.
Your Buying card sits on your profile and says what you’re looking for: games to buy, publish or invest in, your budget and the kind of game. Developers with a game that fits can pitch it to you from there.
Set it up
- In Marketplace, tap Your deals, then Buying.
- On Your Buying card, tap Set up.
- Under Open to, pick Buying games, Publishing or Investing. Pick as many as you like.
- Pick a Budget and a Game size, and write what you’re after in a line.
- Tap Genres to pick the genres you want.
- Leave Show on your profile on, and tap Save.
It’s also in Settings → Edit profile, under Buying card. If you run a studio, Buying as lets you set up the studio’s card, which is on its Edit page too.
Proof of funds
Proof of funds is optional and private. In the sheet, tap Proof of funds, then Connect your bank so RoTerminal can check your balance, or send proof for RoTerminal to check instead. Sellers see a Funds checked badge, never the amount. A check lasts 90 days, and the badge shows only while it covers your budget.
What developers see
Once you’ve picked a budget and said what you’re after, your profile shows the whole card: your budget, what you’re open to, your line, the genres and game size you want, and the games you’ve bought on RoTerminal. On a computer it’s beside your profile. On a phone it’s a bar above the tab bar.
The card has one button for developers: Offer your game if you only buy games, or Pitch your game if you also publish or invest. They pick their game, say what it’s for and add a note. It arrives in your Messages with their profile.
Until you’ve picked a budget and said what you’re after, your profile shows only what you’re open to, on the line under your bio, and developers can still pitch you. While it’s shown, your card also goes with every offer you make, so sellers know who you are.
Hide or remove it
To hide it, turn off Show on your profile. To remove it, tap Edit, then Remove Buying card.
Showing a Buying card and pitching one are free on every plan.
