Buy a game

You can buy a whole Roblox game, or a stake in one, from its owner. Your offer goes to the seller in Messages, and nobody pays anything until you’ve both signed.

Find a game

• In Marketplace, Games lists every game for sale.
• A green For sale label shows under a game’s name wherever it appears on RoTerminal.
• Every seller proves on Roblox that the game is theirs. Their card says Proven owner.

Open a game to see its For sale card: the asking price (or Open to offers), who’s selling, and your half of Escrow.com’s fee.

Make an offer

1. Tap Make an offer on the game’s card in Games, or on its page.
2. Type your price in US dollars.
3. Under Buying, pick Whole game or A stake. For a stake, type the percent you want.
4. Write a note: why you, and what you’d do with the game.
5. Tap Review offer and check what you’d pay.
6. Tap Send offer.

If you run a studio, Offer as lets you buy as the studio.

What happens next

The offer goes to the seller’s Messages, where they can Accept, Counter or Decline. While you wait, you can Withdraw it. You’ll find it in Your deals → Buying.

Once they accept, it’s a deal: you both sign the purchase agreement, you pay Escrow.com, which holds the money, and the game moves into your Roblox group. See How a deal works.

Sellers you can contact

Buying is on every plan. Your first offer, question or request for the numbers on a game counts as one seller contacted. Everything after that on the same game doesn’t count, such as more offers, counters and finishing the deal.

On Free and Plus, the For sale card shows how many you have left this month, such as 2 of 3 sellers left this month. With none left, sending opens Pick your plan, where you can move to a plan with more. The count starts again at the start of each month. See How limits work.
