MarketplaceBuy and sell

After a sale

What happens once a deal closes: your papers, your review, your profile, and where the game goes.

A deal closes once the buyer approves and the seller is paid. Its page then says Sold or Bought, and you each get an email with your papers.

Your papers

The seller’s email has the closing statement and RoTerminal’s fee invoice. The buyer’s has the closing statement. They’re also under Documents on the deal’s page, and in Your deal documents.

Show it on your profile

The deal’s page first asks Show this sale on your profile? Pick Show it, Show it with the price or Keep it private, then tap Save. See Show the games you sold or bought on your profile.

Leave a review

  1. On the deal’s page, your next step asks how the other side was. Tap Leave a review. The card in Messages has the same button.
  2. Pick from one to five stars, and add a few words if you like.
  3. Tap Post review.

The other side sees your stars and words on the deal, and you see theirs.

Where the game goes

WhoWhat changes
BuyerOnce the game is in your Roblox group, it’s in your My Games with its history, and the deal’s page links to it. Your deals → Buying lists it under Bought.
SellerThe game leaves your My Games. In the list of games at the top of My Games, it’s under Sold, with the date and price. Tap it to open the deal. Your deals → Selling lists it under Sold, and its listing says Sold.

Recently sold

Games on Marketplace lists a sale under Recently sold only when you both chose to show it, and shows its price only when you both chose to show the price.

In the weeks after

  • Unless you agreed something else, the seller answers the buyer’s reasonable questions about the game’s code, setup and community in Messages for 14 days.
  • 30 and 90 days after the sale, you both get a notification with how many people play the game in a typical hour, against the number before the sale.
