Benchmarks: how your game compares
Roblox’s six key numbers for your game, and where each one ranks among similar games.
Benchmarks is a tile in My Games with Roblox's six key numbers for one of your games, in the order Roblox lists them, and how each compares with similar games. It uses Roblox's own numbers, so the game needs to be connected: Connect your games.
The six numbers
| Number | What it means |
|---|---|
| Playtime per player | Minutes each daily player played, on average over the last 7 days. |
| Day 1 retention | New players who came back the next day, over the last 7 days. |
| Day 7 retention | New players who came back a week later, over the last 7 days. |
| Payer conversion | The share of daily players who bought something, over the last 7 days. |
| Robux per payer | Robux for each player who bought something, over the last 30 days. |
| Play-through rate | Of the people shown the game, the share who played, over the last 7 days. |
Roblox sends these a day or two late, and the foot of the tile says which days they cover. Each number's change is on its own tile.
Where you rank
Once enough similar games are connected, each number gets a track like the one on Roblox's own dashboard. The breaks in the track are the middle game and the top 10%, and its colour says where you are at a glance:
| Colour | Where the game is |
|---|---|
| Green | Top 25% or better |
| Yellow | Top half |
| Red | Lower half |
Point at a track, or tap it on a phone, to read its place in words, such as Top 10%. It's ranked against other games in the same genre whose owners connected their Roblox numbers, each with 100 or more daily players. Everyone sees only these bands, never another game's number.
With no band yet, the foot says why: ranks start at 100 daily players, or come as more games in your genre connect.
More than one game
The tile shows one game at a time. Your connected games' icons sit beside the tile's name: tap one to switch.
Ads vs organic
For a game that had players from ads lately, a switch at the top shows All or Ads vs organic. Ads vs organic gives Day 1 retention, Day 7 retention and play-through rate separately for players from ads and organic players. Roblox doesn't split the other three this way, so those rows show everyone, marked All. An ads number a sixth or more below organic shows in amber.
With the Players filter at the top of My Games set to Organic or From ads, the switch goes away and Benchmarks shows only that group.
Studio: The Ads vs organic switch is part of Studio. Benchmarks itself is on every plan.
Tip: Benchmarks is on My Games once your games are connected. If you removed it, tap Add and add it again.
