Download games as a spreadsheet

Studio

Save a list of games from the Terminal, or one game’s history, as a CSV file for Excel or Google Sheets.

You can save a list of games, or one game’s history, as a CSV file. It opens in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers, so you can sort and chart the numbers your own way.

Download a list of games

  1. On a computer, open Terminal → Games.
  2. Pick Most played or New. Narrow the list with Filters or the Find box if you like.
  3. Select the Columns button at the right end of the table’s header.
  4. Select Download as CSV, the last row of the menu.

The file has every game in the list that fits your filters, most played first, not only the rows on screen. Each row has the game’s ID, name, developer and genre, players now, its change over 24 hours and 7 days, its share of likes, minutes a visit, favorites per 1,000 visits, visits, when it was created, came out and last updated, and a link to its page.

Columns also picks up to 4 numbers to show beside Players in the table, on any plan. The file always has every column, whichever you pick. The table’s header, and Columns with it, isn’t shown on a phone.

Download one game’s history

  1. Open the game’s page.
  2. In Key stats on its Overview, tap History.
  3. At the bottom, tap Daily CSV for a row a day, or Hourly CSV for a row an hour.
FileEach row has
Daily CSVThe day, in New York time; average, peak and lowest players; the hours we counted; visits; an estimate of new players; favorites, likes and dislikes; and that day’s events
Hourly CSVThe hour, in UTC; average, peak and lowest players; how much of the hour we counted; visits, favorites, likes and dislikes

Both go back to the day we started counting the game. See How far back our numbers go.

Studio: Downloads need Studio. On another plan, tapping one opens the plans, and once you have Studio the file downloads. Teammates with a Studio seat can download too. History itself is on every plan. See A game’s players over time.
