People and postsPosts

Write a post

Post on People with photos, a GIF, a link, a game or a job, and delete a post you wrote.

Posts are where members talk about their games, updates, jobs and questions. Anyone who’s signed in can post, and posts show to everyone.

Write a post

  1. Tap People, then Posts.
  2. On a computer, write in the box at the top, “What’s happening on Roblox?”. On a phone, tap the round + over the tab bar.
  3. Tap Post.

A post can be up to 500 characters. To post about one game, open its page, go to its Posts and write there. The game is already in your words.

Add to it

The buttons under your words add:

  • Photos or a GIF: up to 4 in a post. On a computer there’s an emoji button too.
  • @: a game, a person or a studio (see Mention someone in a post). A game you name gets its live card under your words, with its players and how they’ve moved since you posted.
  • A job, with the briefcase: fill in the Add a job sheet, and people can tap Apply on your post.
  • A game you’re selling, with the price tag: adds your Marketplace listing.

Paste a link and it becomes a card in your post.

Reply, repost and share

Under every post are Like, Reply, Repost and Share. Repost also has Quote, to repost with your own words. Tap a post to open it with its replies.

Delete a post

  1. Tap ⋯ on your post.
  2. Tap Delete.

It’s gone at once. If you didn’t mean to, tap Undo in the message at the bottom. You can’t edit a post, so to change one, delete it and post it again.

Where posts show

  • For you: posts picked for you from everyone, with games’ big moments.
  • Following: only posts from the people and studios you follow, and the games you watch or run.
  • Your profile’s Posts tab, and the Posts tab of a game you named.

Tip: ⋯ on someone else’s post has Not interested, Mute, Block and Report post.
