Mention someone in a post
Type @ to name a game, a person or a studio in a post, and members you mention are told in Activity.
Type @ in a post to name a game, a person or a studio. Their name turns blue and links to their page, and a member you mention is told.
Mention someone
- In the box you’re writing in, type @ and the start of a name. In Messages you can also tap + in front of your words, then Mention a game or person.
- Pick from the list. It has games, members, developers and studios.
- Finish your post and tap Post.
The name shows as @ and the name in blue, at the same size as your words. You can mention more than one.
Mention a game
A game you mention gets its live card under your words: its icon, how many are playing it right now, and how much that’s moved since you posted. The card appears while you write, so you can check it’s the right game.
A post that mentions a game also gets Check the numbers, for a short answer about it (see Ask RoTerminal about a post).
Who’s told
- A member you mention gets a note in Activity saying you mentioned them.
- Studios, and developers who haven’t joined RoTerminal, aren’t told. Their name links to their page.
- Someone who has blocked or muted you isn’t told.
- In a reply, the person you’re answering is already told about the reply, so they don’t get a second note.
Tip: @ works the same way in Messages.
