Who’s behind a game

See the studio, owners and team behind any game, and how we know who owns it.

A game’s People tab shows who’s behind it: the studio or developer that makes it, the people who own it, and its team.

Open it

  1. Open the game’s page.
  2. Tap People.

The name under the game’s title (“By …”) is who makes it too. Tap it to open their page.

What’s in it

Who’s behind is drawn as a tree, from the top down:

  • The company or studio it’s part of, when there is one.
  • The group or developer that makes it, with their rank, how many games they have and how many people are playing them now.
  • Its owner and co-owners, by name.
  • Its team, one branch for each role, such as Developer or Tester. A role with more than one person shows how many. Tap it to see everyone.
  • Anyone else who backs it.

Tap any row to open that studio’s or person’s page. When the game’s owner runs it on RoTerminal, the line under the tree says “Run on RoTerminal by” and their name.

How we know who owns a game

We never guess who owns a game. A game counts as someone’s only with proof:

  • From Roblox: the account that made it, the owner of the group it’s in, and its co-owners in that group.
  • From its owner: they signed in with their Roblox account and added the game on RoTerminal, and Roblox confirmed they own it. We check this with Roblox every day, and it ends when Roblox no longer shows them as an owner.

A connection we can’t prove is marked Likely. Point at the tag to see what it’s based on. Likely connections never count as owning a game.

If it’s your game

Add it to My Games with your Roblox account linked. Roblox has to show that it’s yours: your account made it, or it belongs to a group you own or help run. Then your name shows as running it, and its page gets your Insights tab. If you have a role at the studio that made it, add it as a team game instead.
