A game’s updates
See when a game updated, what players did after each update, and its events, new passes and milestones.
Updates, near the end of a game’s Overview, is the game’s history: each update it published and what players did after it, with its events, new game passes and milestones, newest first.
How we know a game updated
Roblox shows when a game last published a new version, and we check it every few minutes. New versions published within three hours of an update count as part of it, and the row says how many there were (“Published 3 updates”). When the game’s description or name says what the update is, that’s its title.
Updated in Key stats says how long ago the newest version came out.
What players did after it
Each update says how players changed after it, such as “Players +10% vs last week”: players in the hours after the update (up to a day, or until its next update), against the same hours a week before. We compare with a week before because Roblox players change a lot from one day to the next.
- In its first 3 hours, it says when the result will be ready.
- A game we started counting less than a week before an update has nothing to compare with, so that update shows no result.
What else is in Updates
| Row | What it means |
|---|---|
| An event | An event that happened, its peak players, and how that compares |
| New pass | A game pass it started selling, with its price in Robux |
| Passed 25K players | A player count it reached for the first time |
| Entered the top 10 | A place among all games it reached. Became the #1 game on Roblox is the top one |
| Doubled in 6 hours | A sudden jump in players |
| Now #9 on Roblox | Its records and places, from its posts |
Five rows show first (three on a phone). Tap Show more for the rest. Turn on Events, the calendar button at the top right of the chart, and it marks each update too.
Keep up with a game’s updates
- When you watch a game, Activity tells you about its big moments. To hear about every update too, set it to Everything (see Alerts for a game).
- Your Watchlist’s Updated view lists the games you watch that updated this week, newest first.
- A game’s next event shows as Next event in Key stats, and it’s pinned at the top of its Posts tab.
