Put a game’s live player count on your site
Add a live badge or widget with any game’s player count to your website, a DevForum post or a README.
You can show any game’s live player count on your own website, a DevForum post or a GitHub README. It’s free on every plan and needs no API key.
Get the code
- Open the game’s page.
- Tap Share at the top. When the game’s developer is on RoTerminal, it’s the round share button beside the play button.
- Tap the small live player count at the top left of the sheet. Embed player count opens, with a live preview.
- Pick Badge or Widget.
- Pick Light or Dark to match your page.
- Tap Copy HTML. For a badge, you can tap Copy Markdown instead.
- Paste the code into your page.
Badge or widget
| Kind | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Badge | A small pill with a live dot, how many are playing, the game’s name and the RoTerminal logo |
| Widget | A card with the game’s icon and name, how many are playing now, its change since this time yesterday, its players over the last day as a line, and the RoTerminal logo |
Both link to the game’s page on RoTerminal.
How it stays live
- The widget updates its count every 30 seconds while it’s on screen.
- The badge shows the latest count each time your page loads.
Fit it to your page
- On a GitHub README or a forum post, use the badge. Copy Markdown gives it in Markdown, which both take.
- The widget is an iframe, so it needs a page that lets you add one, such as your own website.
- The widget’s code is 320 by 200 pixels. Change its width and height to fit your page. In a short space, the line is left out and the count stays.
Tip: To build your own page with more numbers, such as your games’ daily players, see Build with the RoTerminal API.
