Change your name, handle or picture

Change the name, @handle and picture people see on your profile, posts and messages.

Your name, handle and picture show on your profile, your posts and your messages. You change them in Settings → Edit profile, which Edit profile on your own profile also opens.

Change your name

  1. Open Settings, then Edit profile.
  2. Under About you, edit Name.
  3. Press Return or tap outside the box. A tick shows once it's saved.

A name can be up to 40 characters. It can't look like an official Roblox or RoTerminal name, or be the name of a verified account.

Change your handle

Your handle is your @name. It's also your profile's address, roterminal.co/u/yourhandle.

  • If you've connected Roblox, your handle is your Roblox username and can't be changed here. If you change your username on Roblox, your handle follows the next time you sign in with Roblox.
  • If you haven't, type a new one under Handle. Use letters, numbers and _. RoTerminal adds digits after a dot, so lij becomes @lij.42. If it's taken, tap one of the free ones shown under the box.

To use your Roblox username instead, tap Use your Roblox name under Handle and connect Roblox.

Links to your old handle keep working for 30 days.

Change your picture

  1. In Edit profile, under Photo, tap Change.
  2. Choose your Roblox avatar, the picture from another account you sign in with, a photo you've uploaded, or your initial.

To use a new photo:

  1. Tap Upload and pick a photo.
  2. Move and scale it.
  3. Tap Use photo.

Your bio

Under About you, Bio can be up to 160 characters. Links aren't allowed in a bio.

Important: If you have a blue check, changing your name or handle hides it for 24 hours.
