Notifications on your phone and computer

RoTerminal can send a notification to your phone or computer for new messages and for everything that comes to Activity. You turn it on for each device.

Turn them on

1. Open Settings, then Notifications. Or tap the gear in Activity.
2. Switch on This device.
3. When your browser asks, allow notifications.

A first notification, “Notifications are on”, shows that it works.

The first time you watch a game, follow someone or send a message, RoTerminal also asks whether you want notifications. Tap Turn on notifications, or Not now.

On an iPhone or iPad

An iPhone only shows RoTerminal’s notifications in the app on your Home Screen, not in Safari.

1. In Safari, open notification settings and tap Get the app on This device. Follow the steps. See Get the app on your phone or computer.
2. Open RoTerminal from your Home Screen, and sign in if it asks.
3. In the app, open Settings, then Notifications, and switch on This device.

On a computer or an Android phone, notifications work in the browser too.

What you get

• New messages, except in Requests and muted conversations.
• Everything that comes to Activity, at the levels you chose. See Choose which notifications you get.

On devices that support it, the app’s icon shows a number for new notifications and unread messages.

If they don’t work

• Blocked in browser settings: your browser was told not to allow them. Allow notifications for roterminal.co in your browser’s site settings, then switch on This device.
• This browser doesn’t support notifications: use another browser, or get the app.
• On a phone, also check that your phone’s own settings allow notifications for your browser or the app.

To stop them on a device, switch off This device.
