Send a message
Write one to one with anyone on RoTerminal, about a game, a deal or anything else.
Messages is where you talk one to one with other people on RoTerminal: developers, studios, buyers, investors and players. Messaging is free on every plan.
Start a conversation
- Open the person’s profile, or the page of a studio or a game.
- Tap Message.
- Write your message, then send it.
On a game’s page, Message writes to the game’s developer, with the game already attached to your message. Tap the × on the game to leave it out.
You can also open Messages, tap the pencil button at the top, and search for someone by name.
Tip: Message only shows for people who are on RoTerminal. On a studio’s page it shows once someone who runs the studio is here, and on a game’s page once its developer is.
Find your conversations
On a computer, select Messages in the sidebar. On a phone, tap the Messages button at the top of the screen. A number on it says how many conversations are unread.
The chips over the list show All, Marketplace (conversations about buying or selling a game), Unread and Requests.
What you can send
- Games, people and studios: type @ and pick one from the list. A game shows as a card with how many are playing it.
- Photos: up to 4 in one message, once the other person has written back. Tap + in front of your words and pick Photo, paste a picture, or drag it onto the conversation on a computer. The same + has Mention a game or person and Send an agreement.
- Links: any website, except link shorteners, downloads, sites pretending to be Roblox, and Robux scams.
Reply, react and unsend
- On a phone: press and hold a message for its menu, swipe it right to reply, or double-tap it for a heart.
- On a computer: point at a message for its buttons, or double-click it for a heart.
Unsend in a message’s menu removes your message for both of you. Under your newest message, Sent changes to Seen once they’ve read it.
Before they reply
Until someone writes back, you can send them only a few messages, and no photos. There’s also a daily limit on new conversations.
If they only take messages from some people, your message goes to their Requests. Before you send, Messages tells you: “This will go to their Requests.” See Choose who can message you.
