How we count players

What “playing” means, how often we count it, and how daily numbers, ranks and changes work.

Every player count on RoTerminal starts with Roblox’s own number of people in a game right now. We read it all day and keep every reading, so you can see how a game moves over time.

Playing now

“Playing” is how many people are in a game at one moment, as Roblox reports it. It’s also called CCU (concurrent users), which is what the chart’s menu calls it. We read the biggest games every minute and smaller games less often.

Daily numbers

Days run midnight to midnight, New York time.

NameWhat it means
AverageHow many were playing over the day, on average, weighted by time
PeakThe most playing at once
Part dayA day we counted for less than about 22 of its 24 hours. Its numbers say how many hours we counted

Changes

NameWhat it means
24hPlayers now, against this time yesterday
Against last weekPlayers against the same hours a week before. Updates, icon changes and Is Roblox down? use this, because Roblox players change a lot from one day to the next

Rank

A game’s rank is its place among every game we track, by how many people are playing it right now. It changes every few minutes.

Everyone playing Roblox

The number for all of Roblox is our own count of every public game, read every minute since Oct 1, 2026. Before then, the line is an estimate.

Estimates

A few numbers are calculated, not counted, and say so: Average visit, Unique players, Daily new players and a game’s Monthly Robux estimate. See Estimate and Verified, what they mean.

Every number on RoTerminal, where it comes from and how often it’s read, is listed on How we count.
