Getting startedBasics

Find your way around

The tabs on a phone, the sidebar on a computer, and where Messages, Activity and Settings are.

RoTerminal has four main tabs: Terminal, People, My Games and Marketplace. On a phone they’re in the tab bar at the bottom of the screen, and on a computer they’re in the sidebar on the left.

On a phone

The tab bar has the four tabs, then Profile, which opens your profile. Signed out, Profile opens sign-in. Tap the tab you’re on again to go back to its first page, then to its top.

The buttons at the top of the screen depend on where you are:

WhereButtons at the top
TerminalSearch, Activity and Messages
PeopleSearch on Posts, or Filters on Leaderboard, then Activity and Messages
My GamesInvite people, Activity and Messages
MarketplaceMessages
Your profileSettings

On a page about one thing, like a game or a post, Back is at the top left.

On a computer

The sidebar has Search, the four tabs, Messages, Activity and Help. Help opens the Help Center, with the developer docs and Status beside it. Select your name at the bottom for a menu with Profile, Settings, Invite friends and Sign out. While you’re on Free, the menu has Get Pro too.

The sidebar starts narrow, with just its icons. To open it and see the names, press [ on your keyboard, or point at the logo at the top and click the sidebar button. Press [ again to fold it back.

Messages, Activity and Settings

  • Messages has your conversations. Start one with New message.
  • Activity tells you what happened to you and to the games you follow. Its second tab, What’s new, lists new features on RoTerminal. The gear opens your notification settings.
  • Settings has Edit profile, Account, Plan, Documents, Notifications, Appearance and Developer. On a phone, open it from the gear on your profile.

A blue number on Activity or Messages says how many new things are waiting for you. A blue dot on People means someone posted since you last looked.

Tip: On a computer, press ⌘K or / to search from any page. See Search for games, people and studios.
