What’s new in the API, the CLI and the connector, newest first. Version 1 of the API only adds; anything that would break your code comes as a new version, announced here first.

Charts in every country, and updates

  • Retrieve a chart reads any of Roblox’s charts in 60 countries and on every device: /charts/jp-up-and-coming is Japan’s Up-and-Coming, or send country and device. Each game now has its place yesterday and a week ago, its move, new_today, its days on the chart and, worldwide, the countries where it’s in the top 10. Up to 100 games.
  • List a game’s places on the charts: every place a game holds right now, worldwide and in each country, labeled like JP-Up-and-Coming, with its place yesterday, each chart in sum, and its place over time on one chart.
  • List a game’s updates: every update since Sep 27, 2026, with players before and after, and the game’s typical change.
  • Get live players for several games: up to 10 games in one request. It doesn’t count toward your calls, so a dashboard of 10 games can update every 15 seconds.
  • Name a game by its Roblox link or place ID too.
  • List Roblox’s charts lists the countries, devices and Top Trending genres you can ask for.
  • The connector and the CLI have all of it: npx roterminal charts jp-up-and-coming, npx roterminal charts "grow a garden".

Build a dashboard

  • Build a dashboard: a prompt to paste into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, and a one-file starter, for a live page of your games.
  • Get live players always has the game’s name now, also when you ask for it by universe ID.

API v1, API keys and these docs

  • The API has a version 1 at https://roterminal.co/api/v1: an address for each thing, numbers as numbers, ISO 8601 times, and errors with a code and a link to what it means.
  • Every response has X-RateLimit-Limit, X-RateLimit-Remaining, X-RateLimit-Reset and X-Request-Id headers.
  • Create, name and delete API keys in Settings → Developer, and see your calls for the last 30 days.
  • Your calls a day now carry over a restart of RoTerminal’s servers, so the count is always right.
  • OpenAPI 3.1 describes the whole API.
  • Each plan can ask for the day-by-day history of a number of different games a day. See Rate limits.
  • The CLI has usage, open, docs, tab completion, help for each command, and reads ROTERMINAL_API_KEY.
  • Status shows whether the website, the API and the live numbers are working, and each of the last 90 days.

  • The CLI: npx roterminal, with login, watch, init for AI agents, and JSON for agents.
  • The connector at https://roterminal.co/mcp for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Codex, with sign-in for your own games.
  • The HTTP API at /api/agent/<tool>, which the CLI and agents use.
